DescriptionMultiplex, op basis van vurenhout uit duurzaam beheerde productiebossen, toegepast als plaatmateriaal voor niet dragende elementwanden. Multiplex bestaat uit een aantal lagen schilfineer van vuren dat met kunstharslijm (ureumformaldehyde) onder hoge druk en temperatuur wordt verlijmd. De belangrijkste grondstof voor ureumformaldehyde is aardgas. Het soortelijk gewicht van de plaat is ca. 500 kg/m³. Er wordt uitgegaan van 1 m² plaat met een dikte van 12 mm (6,0 kg materiaal).
