DescriptionOriented Strand Board (OSB) toegepast als plaatmateriaal in een niet dragende elementwand. OSB bestaat uit drie lagen houtspanen die met kunstharslijm (ureumformaldehyde) onder hoge druk en temperatuur worden verlijmd. In Europa wordt OSB voornamelijk gemaakt van, bij de exploitatie van productiebossen vrijkomend, hout (zoals dunnings- en tophout) en productieafval van grenen, vuren, beuken, berken en populieren. Voor deze variant is uitgegaan van 100% nieuw hout afkomstig uit duurzame bosbouw (met keurmerk). Het soortelijk gewicht van de plaat is ca. 680 kg/m³. Er wordt uitgegaan van 1 m² plaat met een dikte van 10 mm (6,8 kg materiaal).
